As a few of you know, I haven’t been working for 2 months. It’s given me time to get settled in Austin and make some new friends. I’ve so enjoyed the break! Next week, I’m excited to be starting a new job though!!
I’ve been trying to soak in more of what Austin has to offer my last week of “freedom”. I went to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on Monday and loved it!
There’s two things I love to do “tourist-wise”….botanical gardens and aquariums! Love them to pieces! I knew that I wanted to get to the Wildflower Center before it got too hot in the summer and during Wildflower Days (which ends 5/31).
Hello butterflies!
Such a peaceful way to walk around for a couple of hours!

I wish I had known you were out there. You can walk to my house from the wildflower center. I would have loved to have you over for an ice cold beverage after your lovely walk at the center. Great pics I’m so glad your getting the chance to explore all the wonderful places here.
I had thought about messaging you because I knew you lived nearby, but wasn’t sure of your work schedule, etc!!
LOVE the Wildflower Center. It’s such a peaceful place!
Lauren, are you based in Austin??
I’ve always heard this is a wonderful place! We may be up to Austin soon…hub wants to see Stevie Ray Vaughn’s guitar while it’s on display at the museum. Congrats on your new job…so happy for you! We should meet in San Marcos soon to celebrate and do some outlet shopping!
I’m always up for outlet shopping!!! 🙂
Nice to have been able to take the break from work to settle in. Good luck on the new job.
Dude this is the truth. Rock on.
