September was my first month to participate in Foodie Penpals.

Fun fact:  When I was in middle school, I had some penpals.  A neighbor used to be really into them and she got me hooked.  It was so fun running to the mailbox every day anxiously waiting for new letters!  It’s even more exciting when you know goodies are coming!

In September, I received a package from the lovely Crystal.

Let’s see what I got!

It’s Arthur’s Fault! BBQ Sauce….this BBQ sauce has a mix of chilies & coffee in it.  I love spicy food & coffee, so this was perfect for me.  I already used it as a marinade over chicken and really loved it!

Oatmeal…I really go for oatmeal in the fall season especially.  Oatmeal with a spoonful of pumpkin & a spoonful of peanut butter mixed together.  Autumn goodness!

Creme brulee & tiramisu hot chocolate! I haven’t used these gems yet. I’m waiting for a cooler day in Austin. Okay, I may be waiting a while. But hot chocolate in 80 degree weather is a waste. I’m waiting for the 70′s.

And for the grand finale, Pumpkin Spice Caramels! These babies were delicious! I tried to make them last…and I succeeded…for an afternoon before they were all devoured!
